News of the working group
Congress of the International Society for Applied Ethology (ISAE)
Our working group was well-represented at the 58th congress of the ISAE (4th-8th August, Utrecht, The Netherlands), with two talks and five posters :
- Anina Vogt (who received the UFAW travel award) presented her work on gradual reduction of cow-calf contacts and its effect on stress at separation
- Noemi Santo presented her work on the impacts of feeding intensities on cows behaviour (GreenDairy project)
- Annika Held presented her work on using ultrasonic stimulus as a deterrent for wolves (mAInZaun project)
- Karolin Gondolf presented her work on the effect of timing of group-housing on dairy calves welfare
- Johanna Henke-von der Malsburg presented her work on horses' reaction to traffic noise
- Uta König von Borstel presented the work she supervised (student project) on the effect of group size on turkeys emotional state
- Oceane Schmitt presented the collaborative work on automatic detection of goat aggressive behaviours (VerZi project)
