Duration of Studies

The Master's degree course Accounting, Finance & Sustainability consists of a major (60 CP), a minor (30 CP) and the Master Thesis (30 CP).

In the major, you will work on exciting and current topics from the core areas of the degree programme.
There is a large selection of eight compulsory elective modules to choose from. This allows you to set individual specialisations and prepare yourself optimally for your career start.
In the study projects you will work on current research projects or learn how to use software applications.

In addition to the modules from the core areas of the degree programme, you can also select modules from other areas of business administration and economics in the minor.
The elective field of 12 CP gives you the opportunity to take Master's modules from other subject areas. Alternatively, you can complete an internship totaling 12 CP or take other modules on cross-cutting topics such as Gender & Diversity or Business English. Within the scope of these 12 CP, you can also take non-graded courses.

You will write your thesis at one of the professorships in the fields of Accounting or Finance.
You have six months to work on your thesis.
The thesis may also be written as practical work after consultation with the supervising professor.

You can take further voluntary modules totalling a maximum of 18 CP.
The modules are not included in the sum of your grades. You will receive a certificate of achievement.

Business English courses and semesters abroad round off the programme.
