Licenses for Adobe products can be purchased under two different licensing programs. A limited range of products is available via the CLP program in the form of purchase licenses. Via the ETLA 'Point Consortium' program, the desktop applications of Creative Cloud Complete can be purchased as rental licenses as a package.
In many areas, Adobe products are considered the quasi-standard. For many products, however, there are cheaper or even free alternatives from other providers.

On November 21, 2023, Adobe will make internal technical adjustments to the authentication processes for users of personal licenses of Creative Cloud products and Acrobat Pro DC (rental license version).
