- LOEWE-Transfer-Professur für Prof. Dr. Sangam Chatterjee

26. März 2024 - Der Gießener Physiker Prof. Dr. Sangam Chatterjee erhält eine LOEWE-Transfer-Professur für Hochtechnologiematerialien (HIMAT) am Zentrum für Materialforschung (ZfM) und dem Fachbereich 07 – Mathematik und Informatik, Physik, Geographie der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (JLU).
Die Professur HIMAT stärkt die Anwendungsorientierung in der Materialwissenschaft und forciert insbesondere im Bereich moderner Beschichtungstechnologien die enge Kooperation mit der Wirtschaft. Das Land Hessen fördert diese Professur für fünf Jahre mit einer Million Euro aus Mitteln des LOEWE-Programms, die JLU steuert einen Eigenanteil in Höhe von rund 250.000 Euro bei.
