Kurzbeschreibung:
Making Identity Count is a global project spearheaded by the National University of Singapore (NUS) researcher Ted Hopf that aims at compiling a new national identity database for use in comparative politics. In opposition to existing work, the project measures national identity discursively on a variety of sources (leadership speeches, newspapers, literature, and other media) before it is translated into numerical terms that can be used with statistical methods.
Falk Ostermann is the Country Leader Germany of this project. Students of the Department of Political Science at JLU are actively participating in the compilation of the database.
