Erasmus-Besuch aus der Türkei
Hello, I’m Ayse Nur Songür Bozdag from Izmir Katip Celebi University, Turkey. I'm working on my doctoral degree at Ankara University, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. My PhD thesis is about the causes of food waste and effect of an initiative to reduce it in households and I use the mixed method in my thesis. I visited Justus-Liebig University, the Department of Consumer Research, Communication and Food Sociology from 21st – 24th November 2022 for my Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility.
The focus on sustainability communication and qualitative research is very interesting for me. During my stay I had the opportunity to discuss my research about household food waste with members of the team. We gained new insights regarding differences and similarities regarding food waste in Turkey and Germany. I visited some of the lectures the professorship is offering and give talks / presentations related to my research in bachelor (Introduction to Counseling) and master (Corporate Communication, Contemporary Debates in Food Communication and Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research) classes.
These activities have been a good experience for me. I wish I could have spent more time with the esteemed academics and students of Justus-Liebig University. It was a pleasure meeting the team. If Justus-Liebig University academicians and students come to Turkey with exchange programs, I will be delighted to host them. I hope we will continue to work together with the team members and their students from now on.
