Changing insights into AG Janek
The Janek group works in the field of solid state batteries and their fundamentals and focuses on the electrochemistry of the solid state. The understanding and control of mobility, both at the atomic (dynamics) and macroscopic level (transport), are key parts of our research. In particular, a better understanding of transport in the different components of solid-state batteries (i.e. electrodes and electrolytes) and a thorough characterization of the interfaces evolving during battery operation is crucial. The investigation of the cathode/solid electrolyte interface is one of the current main interests of the group.
