Higher Education and Sustainability

We seek to understand to what extent sustainability is already and could be embedded in higher education institutions (HEIs) in education, research, operations and community outreach. Beyond the question of what and why, we focus on how sustainability can be holistically integrated in HEIs to foster change for a more sustainable future.

  • Analysis of 100 UN PRME "Sharing Information on Progress" Reports revisited (2021-2022)

The integration of principles derived from the concept of sustainable development in higher education is a central component of the UN Initiative Principles of Responsible Management Education (UN PRME). After 10 years of the first analysis of the SIP Reports (Sharing Information on Progress) of the first 100 signatories in 2011, we again analyze the reports of these first 100 signatories to assess their progress in integrating the six principles of responsible management education into teaching, research and organization.
