Research Interests
I am a veterinarian with research interests in science communication, Animal Welfare Sciences, and ethology, with a particular focus on pigs, cattle, and sheep. I am currently completing my PhD in animal welfare in pig farming and innovative approaches to knowledge transfer in schools. I have gained professional experience both in clinical veterinary practice and as a research associate and project coordinator, including work on the externally funded MUD project “Tierschutz erLeben” at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. My particular focus is on the target-group-oriented and innovative communication of scientific knowledge, as well as the development of media-based educational concepts for science communication. In addition, I regularly attend conferences in the fields of applied ethology and animal welfare.
