Functional Molecular, Hybrid and Inorganic Materials

Synthesis and structural chemistry of functional solids such as MOFs, coordination polymers, hybrid inorganic-organic materials, and molecular solids. The group’s fundamental research focus is closely linked to topics in applied materials chemistry, such as sustainable cooling technologies (barocaloric effect), alternative energy storage (mechanical energy storage & latent heat storage), mechanical material properties (lifetime), as well as sensor materials (ferroelectrics), amongst others.
