Advanced Ceramics

Our research focuses on the development and analysis of new, innovative advanced ceramics for efficient energy conversion and storage.

Key projects investigate

  • New ceramics for high-temperature applications that are stable over long periods in aggressive atmospheres.
  • New ceramics for energy storage (electrode materials, ionic conductors)
  • New ceramics for sustainable energy production and catalysis
Fundamental as well as application-oriented properties are investigated. One focus is on thermodynamic experiments such as thermal analysis and calorimetry as well as thermodynamic modeling.
