If you are a student wishing to take a complete degree at JLU in German, you will have to show that you have acquired sufficient proficiency in the German language. This applies to all applicants without a German Abitur.

Applicants for a German-taught degree programme at JLU Giessen must prove that they have sufficient German language skills to study. This applies to all applicants without a German university entrance qualification.

When applying, please indicate which of the certificates listed below you hold. We require German language certificates at different levels for your  application and for your enrolment. If you hold a certificate that is sufficient for your application, you may apply. If you are admitted, you will have to submit a higher-level German language certificate within the enrolment deadline. You will be notified of the enrolment deadline when you receive your admission.
