Virtual International Programme of JLU

The VIP-Programme takes place twice a year in the winter (October to February) and the summer semester (March to July) in accordance with the German academic calendar. The next VIP-Programme will run from March 2021 until July 2021 in the summer semester.
The application period for winter semesters opens in July, for summer semesters in January.
Applications for winter semester 2021/22 will open in July 2021.
About the VIP
The Virtual International Programme (VIP) is the best way to learn more about JLU from home. Tailored to the needs of international students from partner universities of JLU, it offers a varied and flexible online programme encompassing:
- More than 80 online courses in different subjects taught in English, French, German and Spanish for international undergraduate and graduate students from partner universities of JLU
- Online German language courses
- Online international group work
- Transcripts of Records with credit points (ECTS)
- This programme is for students of partner universities of JLU and offers free tuition

We have made the application process as simple as possible for you:
1. Fill in our application form
2. Send your signed application as a PDF via email to vip@admin.uni-giessen.de
3. Please attach:
- Proof of enrolment from your home university
- A Transcript of Records of your current studies at your home university
