Virtual Tour through the Special Collection in 3-D
The special exhibition at the Upper Hessian Museum Treasures Safely Stored. Treasures, Boxes and Caskets, which ran from November 15, 2023 to March 10, 2024, also involved JLU collections. A digital 360° tour of the exhibition is now available at: https://tours.arrion.de/view/oberhessisches-museum/kostbarkeiten. For this project, the Upper Hessian Museum collaborated with a Giessen-based start-up, Arrion, to create a unique digital museum experience. Here you can rediscover the exhibition digitally with music, additional 3D objects, and new information! If you want, you can even explore the exhibition up close from home using VR glasses. There is a lot to discover from the university collections: e.g. an egg collection, herbarium specimens, or historical surveying instruments.
