Scientific Managers

Scientific managers at JLU undertake pursue tasks which cannot be mastered without experience in management, administration or academic socialization.

Amongst others, scientific managers work in the areas of university development and management, study and doctoral study program management, research and quality management, department and human resource management as well as in teaching development and didactics. They often work in interdisciplinary teams on institutional programs and projects.

Regarding the group of science managers, Justus Liebig University has developed an ideal goal profile which is closely oriented towards the overarching human resource development goals “competence” and “motivation”. Because of the highly diverse working areas of scientific managers, human resource development programs need to be adjusted individually in the form of subject-specific trainings, individual coaching and counselling.

The detailed goal profile as well as further information concerning the supporting offers can be found in chapter eight of the Human Resource Development strategy. You will find the entire Human Resource Development strategy here (only available in German).
