Impressions of Teaching Futures on 22 May 2025 from the JLU Main BuildingOn 22 May 2025, the first Teaching and Learning Day took place in the main building of Justus Liebig University Giessen. Under the motto ‘Partners in Progress’, the event offered a platform for all those who want to actively shape the future of teaching and learning at universities. Teachers, students and interested parties from various universities were on hand to share new perspectives and exchange ideas. |

Qualitative and quantitative data from evaluations and other university surveys will show how the students and teachers involved assess their effectiveness. |

Using a concrete example, she demonstrates practical strategies for establishing and sustainably shaping international academic collaborations. |

Poster "Making Voice and Presence Virtually Realistic"The poster by Dr Ulrike Nespital and Gerald Czerney presents the VR project "Making Voice and Presence Virtually Realistic" at JLU and highlights the possibility of transferring what has been learned to courses with virtual spaces, the technical implementation and the initial survey results. The poster supported the associated showcase in the Immersive Showroom. |
Poster "Digital excursions to places of extractivism in Latin America"The poster by Prof. Dr Verena Dolle and Isabel Gaviria presents a teaching format at JLU that uses VR to take students to central places of extractivism in Latin America. The focus is on the historical and current effects of the exploitation of raw materials in regions such as Guatavita, Potosí and Cerrejón. The excursions are complemented by educational material on extractivism and green energy. |
Poster “Integrating FHIR-driven Radiology Infrastructure with Cutting-edge Virtual Reality for Enhanced Clinical Workflows and Education”The poster by Viet Duc Vu and colleagues presents an innovative concept for linking standardised radiological data infrastructure (FHIR, DICOM) with virtual reality technology. The aim is to display medical data interactively and immersively in real time in order to improve clinical workflows and teaching scenarios. Poster “Partners in Progress – Enabling VR in Teaching through Co-Teaching”The poster by Ramin Siegmund and Hannah Rahel Jäkel presents a joint teaching project at Philipps University of Marburg as part of NIDIT, which enables the use of virtual reality in university teaching. The focus is on an interdisciplinary co-teaching concept with a dual technical and didactic structure. The aim is to qualify education students for collaborative learning in VR environments. Implementation takes place in the MeetInVR application, with intensive support and detailed technical and infrastructural planning. |

The aim was to gather new ideas for active student participation and to highlight potential for the further development of teaching/learning processes. |
