Research Interests:
  • Remote Sensing on Snow Hydrology:

Snow measurement by using satellite remote sensing data especially focus on CLOUD, SHADOW, SUB-PIXEL CLASSIFICATION.

Concept of snowmelt runoff modeling and physical-based modeling of snowmelt runoff for the watershed scale and the parameters of input derived from satellite data set.

Snow products of China by using satellite remote sensing: including snow cover, depth; density; temperature; grain size; liquid water content; snow water equivalent; snow storage.

Scenario analysis and forecast of snow-melt runoff for a changed climate - effect of climatic change on snowmelt runoff in mountainous regions of inland rivers in Northwestern China.

  • Eco-system services:

The ecosystem services and functions provide the resource and environment for human survival. Based on multidisciplinary knowledge, the aim is to generate a dynamic model assessing the value of ecosystem services and functions. The key point focuses on discussing important factors that adjust functions of remote sensing techniques in the model, setting up the frame of dynamic assessment models on ecosystem services and functions value.
