The following students are currently working in the Labs of the Wegner group on on up-to-date research topics as part of their Master thesis. If you are interested in preparing your Master or Bachelor thesis in the Wegner group, please contact our co-workers or Prof. Hermann A. Wegner for possible research topics.
Conrad Averdunk
Personal details
In April 2019, Conrad Averdunk from Johannesburg in South Africa joined the Wegner group for his Bachelor thesis. He synthesized and investigated meta-trisazobenzenes as a molecular triple photoswitch with selectively and independently switchable subunits as well as azothiophenes. In January 2021 he continued working on synthesis of azothiophenes as model system for a molecular assembler.
