We offer an overview of all funding instruments for the time after your PhD as well as specific focus talks on the Walter Benjamin Programme, the Emmy Noether Programme and the Heisenberg Programme. We will also provide advice on how to prepare your proposal for the review process and answer your questions. PhD candidates and postdocs of all disciplines are welcome to join!
Die wissenschaftliche Karriere bietet per se viel Unsicherheit. Das zeigt sich schon daran, dass die Zahl der Professuren begrenzt ist und lediglich ein Teil der Postdocs später auf einer solchen landet. Doch auch andere Karrierewege stehen Postdocs offen – oft sind sie nur weniger bekannt und manchmal nicht so gradlinig wie erhofft, aber dennoch attraktiv. Um Optionen für mögliche Alternativen aufzuzeigen, haben wir PCMO-Referent*innen des GGS und des GGL die Veranstaltungsreihe Karrieregespräche für Postdocs - Außeruniversitäre Perspektiven in Industrie, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft ins Leben gerufen. Planmäßig einmal im Monat laden das GGS und das GGL abwechselnd Gäste ein, die nach der Promotion in diversen Berufsfeldern Fuß gefasst haben. Sie werden uns ihre Geschichten erzählen und uns an ihrem Weg dorthin, wo sie jetzt sind, teilhaben lassen.
This series is especially for (young) researchers from the life-science / medical sector. It is co-organized by the PCMO@GGL and the Max Planck institutes in Marburg and Bad Nauheim, as well as the Marburg school for microbiology. It features a short presentation of invited speakers and offers room for some questions. The series is in english. This online series is normally scheduled for the first Friday every month from 12:00 to 13:00h.
