Anjuli Trautmann

About me

Anjuli Trautmann is a Ph.D. student at the International Graduation Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) and the International Ph.D. Programme “Literary and Cultural Studies” (IPP) at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. She was awarded a full scholarship at the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung. Her thesis is concerned with Irish-American memoirs, with a special interest in self-perception, performativity, nostalgia, and ambivalence, focussing on expressions of home and belonging. Earlier, she focused on intermedial representation of Irish folklore and pursued a career in teaching. Anjuli Trautmann’s fields of interest encompass American cultural studies, Irish American studies, and psychological perspectives within literary studies with a focal point on cognitive narratology and influences on the writing process.
