Philipp Schade

Since mid-2018 Philipp Schade has been a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Associate in the Research Network "Digitalization" at the Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany.  His research focuses on investigating how different aspects of digitalization, such as digital technologies, infrastructure, and urgency for digital transformation affect entrepreneurial pursuits of individuals and incumbent firms. In his research, he uses methods from the branches of artificial intelligence such as machine learning and deep learning, as well as text mining tools , and other quantitative techniques like multilevel (structural equation) modeling. His research has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing and the Journal of Business Venturing Insights.

Philipp Schade regularly teaches the master's statistics course "Applied Survey Analysis" during the winter and summer terms.

After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Anhalt University, he continued studying at Justus Liebig University Giessen and graduated with a Master's of Science in Business Administration. During his undergraduate studies, Philipp Schade was a student tutor for the subjects of microeconomics and economic policy.

Besides his study, Mr. Schade collected a multifaceted spectrum of knowledge through the guidance of many business development projects for an SME. Thus, he can also look back on many years of international working experience.

Currently, Philipp Schade is a visiting researcher at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
