Anne Kunz internship
Anne Kunz from Medenbach near Herborn joined the Wegner Group for her Bachelor thesis in june 2017. For her Bachelor project, she synthesized and investigated the properties of macrozyclic azobenzenes for their potential use in Molecular Solar Thermal Energy Storage Systems (MOST). Since november 2018, she continues her studies on this topic during an internship.
Aileen Raab internship
In September 2019 Aileen Rebecca Raab from Wallernhausen near Nidda joined the Wegner group for an internship. She synthesized new alkyl-aryl-substituted azobenzenes and investigated the influence of the substituents on their half-lives.
Valeriy Kalinin internship
Valeriy Kalinin is a Bachelor student from the University of Kazan (Russia), who joined the Wegner Group in the context of a partnership program with the Justus-Liebig University Giessen. He investigated London dispersion interactions with photo-switchable azobenzenes.
Chiara di Berardino internship
Chiara Di Berardino is a Master student from the University of Padova who joined the Wegner Group in the context of a Double Degree Program with the Justus-Liebig University of Giessen. During her internship she will investigate London dispersion in photoswitchable asymmetric azobenzenes.
