Der GIS-Software Hersteller Esri stellt ab März 2024 keine Lizenzen mehr für ArcGIS Desktop zur Verfügung. / The GIS software manufacturer Esri will no longer provide licenses for ArcGIS Desktop from March 2024.
Bislang bot der GIS-Software Hersteller Esri zwei GIS-Produktgenerationen an: ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) und ArcGIS Pro.
Bereits vor einigen Jahren hat Esri angekündigt, dass ArcGIS Pro die Zukunft gehört und die "alte" Produktgeneration nicht weiterentwickelt wird.
Esri hat nun bekannt gegeben, dass ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) ab März 2024 nicht mehr im Rahmen der Lizenzprogramme ausgeliefert wird.
D.h. für die neue Lizenzperiode werden keine Autorisierungsschlüssel für Einzellizenzen und Netzwerklizenzen mehr zur Verfügung stehen.
Für alle, die von ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) auf ArcGIS Pro umsteigen müssen, hat Esri Informationen bereitgestellt, die den Übergang erleichtern sollen.
