Back at the Philosophikum Campus after 30 years – ERASMUS alumni visit JLU
Thirty years after their ERASMUS semester at Justus Liebig University is a good reason to return to Giessen. This is what a group of former ERASMUS students from Italy, Portugal and Germany thought, and on 19 July 2025 they returned to JLU to visit their former campus, the Philosophikum I. On behalf of the Alumni Service and the International Office, Saskia Hess and Pia Marcus welcomed the alumni and gave them a tour of the campus. They were able to marvel at the construction site for the campus of the future and talk about all the changes that have taken place over the last 30 years. After a short visit to the branch library of the Philosophikum II, the tour ended at the Otto-Behaghel-Straße cafeteria. Using old photos, a spot outside the cafeteria was found and a ‘30 years later’ photo was taken. The Alumni Service would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to be part of this visit. It was a lot of fun for everyone.
