ECTS Grading Tables and graduate statistics

For each academic year, graduate statistics and ECTS grading tables are available.

The ECTS Grading Table provides information on the distribution of the overall grades achieved in a degree program or a group of comparable degree programs at JLU Giessen and is compiled in accordance with the ECTS Users' Guide. Since 2009, they have replaced the previously recommended relative “ECTS grades” A to E.

The ECTS grading tables are created on November 15 of each year for all Bachelor's and Master's graduates from October 1 of the previous year to September 30 of the current year. The date of the last examination is decisive for the allocation. The graduates of a degree program from the previous three academic years are used as a comparison group. The group is not created if the number of graduates in the reference period under consideration is less than 30. Only graduates whose degrees have been fully completed in the examination management system by the reference date and for whom an overall grade has been determined are included in the comparison group.
