Strategies for the Late-Stage Functionalization of C(sp3-H) Bonds

Tue, 02.08.2022

14:00-16:00 (C1)

Metal-Catalyzed C-C Construction Using Unactivated Alkyl Electrophiles

Thur, 04.08.2022 14:00-16:00 (C1)

Abstract:

These lectures will provide insight into general areas of reaction development and chemical synthesis. Their studies are ultimately driven by the discovery of new and useful forms of chemical reactivity. Harnessing these new forms of chemical reactivity for the development of powerful reactions and strategies for synthesis as a major focus. A theme of these studies is an emphasis on catalytic transformations employing easily accessed substrates and common molecular functionality.

Furthermore, Prof. Alexanian will give an OC-Kolloquium about "New Strategies for Hydrocarbon Functionalization" on Wednesday the 3rd of August from 17:00-18:00 in C5a.
