Professor Denmark will give the 1st & 2nd Liebig-College seminar and lectures on

Special Topics in Stereochemistry and Asymmetric Catalysis

Tue, 31.05.2022

14:00-16:00 (Chemie C 1)
Thur, 02.06.2022 14:00-16:00 (Chemie C 5a)

Abstract:

These lectures will provide a historical overview of the development of catalysis in organic chemistry followed by illustrations of the synthetic applications of Lewis acid and base catalysis, Brønsted acid and base catalysis, and electrostatic catalysis. Time permitting, advanced topics including non-linear effects and autocatalysis may be covered.

Furthermore, Prof. Denmark will give an OC-Kolloquium about "Discovery and Optimization of Enantioselective Catalysis Through Chemoinformatics" on Wednesday the 1st of June from 17:00-18:00 in C5a.
