Abstract
This practical training is especially well suited for people who come into contact with several Asian target countries.
You’ll get a comprehensive introduction to the topic of cross-cultural communication with Asians. The goal is to establish cross-border competency.
We’ll talk about common sources of trouble when working with Asians, introduce field-tested strategies and analyze your previous experience abroad. Not only will newcomers benefit from this training, but so will participants who have been in contact with Asian colleagues, customers and business partners for years.
The expert who will conduct the training has several years of work experience in Asia and will vividly convey practical situations and tips.
We’ll cover the following topics:
- Interactive introduction of the most important cultural differences in Asia
- How to constructively deal with cultural differences, including hierarchy, the understanding of time, negotiations, the establishment of relationships and project management
- Field-tested tips and tricks on expediently dealing with Asian customers, colleagues, suppliers and business partners
- Conflict management when working with Asians
- Strategies and practical tips for successful and stress-free virtual collaboration with Asians [telephone calls, e-mails, web conferences, messengers, etc.]

Your Trainer
Ke Rao was born in 1971 in Hubei region [China]. She has many years of industrial and project experience in various Asian countries.
About her career:
Ke Rao is a senior expert at eidam & partner. Before she came to Germany, she studied business administration and economics in Wuhan, China. Subsequently she worked as a market analyst at the Information Institute of China National Automotive Industry. Ke Rao then ambitiously pursued the goal of becoming internationally active: For this reason, she worked for two years as a foreign trade clerk in the Import & Export Department. There she was responsible for international customer relations [e.g. from China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand] as well as the support of suppliers in the mechanical engineering and electronics industries.
Due to her qualifications and many years of work experience, Ke Rao received a scholarship from Volkswagen AG, to which she also completed another degree in the field of business informatics. Subsequently, she worked as a controller and computer scientist in the areas of "Transaction and Investment Banking" at Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt am Main.
In the end, Ke Rao decided to take the step into self-employment and founded her own consulting company. Since then, she has been training specialists and executives, supports international project teams and advises companies with the right strategy to enter the Asian market.
Today, she is rightly one of the most sought-after trainers and consultants in the German-Asian context. Ke Rao is fluent in Chinese, German and English.
