FestBatt
BMBF Cluster of Competence for Solid-State Batteries (FestBatt)
The BMBF-funded competence cluster for solid-state batteries is coordinated by the Centre for Materials Research (coordinator: Prof. Jürgen Janek).
The aim of FestBatt is to ensure that the new materials are evaluated by industry and application-oriented institutes. The necessary competences in the areas of development, production, optimisation and upscaling of suitable solid electrolytes are bundled in the FestBatt cluster. Twenty-one groups at 12 scientific institutions throughout Germany are working on this. Representatives of selected industrial companies are supporting the project.
