The next meeting of our Reading Club will be on Thursday, March 30th, at 6 pm s.t. (online).

This time we will discuss Jack London's The Call of the Wild (1903).

If you would like to join us, please write us an E-Mail and we will provide you with the link and the password to our meeting room.

What is the Reading Club?

The idea behind our project is a good old-fashioned Reading Club in which the “classics” are discussed in an informal setting. The Reading Club was inspired by three observations: one, there are way too many canonical literary works that we haven’t read – but probably should; two, it might be more fun to engage with these texts when you actually get the chance to discuss your reading experience afterwards; three, despite our passion for visual media, it is sometimes nice to return to the written word.

We are going to meet about once a month. Drop in for just one meeting, or two, or all! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at or

We’re looking forward to seeing you and until then, happy reading!

The novel is by Jack London. According to web sources [wikimedia commons], the cover art seems to be by Paul Bransom (1885-1979) or possibly Charles Bull (1874-1932)
