"Development Geography from a Rural Planning Perspective in Namibia"
The traditional rural development paradigm, which takes an exogenous, sectorial approach needs to be replaced with a new rural development paradigm of a more local, endogenous, integrated nature. Development planners are now tasked with spatial planning of rural areas' farmland, electricity, and water provision. Thus, reviving the need for effective rural development planning laws and policies. Rural planning regulatory frameworks are scarce and, in some incidences, non-existent particularly in developing countries such as Namibia.
