Furthermore, they know methods for studying and working in intercultural and multi-professional settings.

Four thematic compulsory modules:

A) The fundamentals of intercultural competence: Reflective and action-oriented examination of the concepts of culture and identity as well as social processes and interpersonal intercultural communication.

B) Cross-cultural topics: In-depth examination of theories, approaches and methods from the fields of diversity, inclusion, equality, (anti-)discrimination, intersectionality, migration research, human rights and postcolonial studies, among others.

C) Culture-specific topics: Knowledge of history, society and culture of different target regions as well as acquisition of basics for successful intercultural communication and constructive handling of conflict situations in dialogue with members of these regions.

D) Reflection portfolio: Reflection on one's own cultural imprint and basic understanding of attributes that contribute to successful intercultural coexistence by means of an accompanying portfolio to be prepared as well as a 15-minute colloquium.
