From Frankfurt Airport to Giessen
Starting at Frankfurt Airport you have to/need to follow the signs to “Regional trains”. You will be needing a ticket from the regional transport company called “RMV” with the destination “Giessen Bahnhof”. The current price for a regular adult ticket is € 16 (one way). Group tickets (2-5 people, 45€) are also available. You can either take a regional train (RE) or a suburban train (S-Bahn) to “Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof (“Frankfurt main station”)”. There you’ll need to change trains and enter a regional train (RB or RE) to Giessen. Please check the yellow time tables and consider the announcements on your platforms at any station.

Furthermore you can go to www.bahn.de/en and check for trips between “Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof” and “Giessen” in English. Or put in “Alter Steinbacher Weg 44, Gießen“ as a destination to find connections including a bus transfer/walk from the main station in Gießen to ‘Alter Steinbacher Weg 44, Philosophikum I’, where you will find our conference registration as well as the seminar rooms. From bus stop Ostschule you have to take a walk not more than 3 minutes to the seminarbuilding 2.
The bus transfers are included in your ticket from “RMV”.
Arriving by car
The seminarbuilding of the university is also easily accessible by car. From the motorway use the exit called "Licher Straße". After exititing you need to drive approximately 800 meters towards Gießen-Stadtmitte - on Licher Straße and then turn left on Memeler Straße, then right and then left on Danziger Straße. At the end of Danziger Straße turn left on Alter Steinbacher Weg. The seminar bulding is about 340 m on your right side.
