Anne Kunz master
Anne Kunz from Medenbach near Herborn joined the Wegner Group for her Bachelor thesis in June 2017. For her Bachelor project, she synthesized and investigated the properties of macrocyclic azobenzenes for their potential use in Molecular Solar Thermal Energy Storage Systems (MOST). Since November 2018 until May 2019, she continued her studies on this topic during an internship. As part of her Master thesis, Anne investigated photoswitchable molecules, which are based on a combination of norbonadienes and azobenzenes. These molecules are new promising candidates for MOST systems.
