My Diplom degree from the University of Giessen brought me a good knowledge in immunology and microbiology. During my PhD I have work on histological assessment of bone healing in an infection model in rat femur. After I moved to the group of Dr. El Khassawna I became more involved in understanding the immunological aspect bone-material integration and its correlation with the newly formed extracellular matrix. My research interest is to understand cell-matrix discrepancies in osteoporotic bone.
