GGS-Workshop: Teaching in English - Promoting Learning in the International Classroom

Participants will learn to

• reflect on their role as (future) university teachers in an international learning environment
• apply the constructive alignment framework and a taxonomy of learning outcomes to their teaching contexts
• devise strategies and get to know methods to promote student motivation and encourage active learning
• reflect on the various shapes of diversity in the international English-taught classroom and on the role of the local learning culture.
• foresee potential challenges for students and teachers in an international environment and devise strategies on how to leverage diversity.
