What does International Information Management mean?
- All (German and English, written and online) information to be communicated within JLU and externally is streamlined and directed at all target groups of JLU: communication design
- New information has to be communicated internally and distributed to all internal and external target groups in such a way that JLU's International Office speaks with 1 voice
-
User-friendly web pages: internet text as a special kind of text: short, mixed with pictures, no academic essays, no scrolling and no complicated navigation tree at the same time, up-to-date information (in German and English), target group-oriented information and language, all relevant information has to be available in German and English with one click
- Internet/"International Pages" as main medium of communication
- Ideally: all information online first (fast, accessible 24h/day), then additionally printed out
- Wrong understanding of internet: produce PDF-Files or word documents, print them out, send them around, afterwards create webpages as PDF-collections
- But not all information is online only: all print materials are also available online and updated regularly
