DE: „Caramelized“ ist eine Solo-Performance über „sweetness“ als körperlichen und sozialen Zustand. Ausgehend von der Erfahrung mit chronisch erhöhtem Blutzucker untersucht die Arbeit Süße als etwas, das begehrt, performt, konsumiert und kontrolliert wird. Choreografie, Live-Musik, Zucker und die Live-Messung des Blutzuckers schaffen eine sinnliche Landschaft zwischen Genuss, Verführung, Übermaß und Unbehagen.
EN: Caramelized is a solo performance that explores sweetness as both a physical condition and a social expectation. Moving between pleasure and excess, the piece combines choreography with materials such as honey and candy to create a sticky, seductive landscape where attraction slowly turns into discomfort. Live music amplifies this bright and unstable atmosphere, while the live measurement of blood sugar levels exposes the body’s vulnerability beneath the surface of sweetness.
