Dr. Veronika Zablotsky discusses her community-engaged scholarship with sanctuary and migrant justice movements to reflect on solidarity as a political practice that goes beyond humanitarian aid or charity. She draws on transnational feminist and postcolonial perspectives in political theory to develop normative principles of solidarity that are responsive to structural injustice at a transnational scale. She also discusses models of redress and repair that are grounded in abolitionist ethics and imaginaries of social transformation.
