Accounting, Finance, Economics & Sustainability

Mission Statement

The "Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Sustainability (AFES)" research section is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice across these four interconnected domains. By connecting these fields, we aim to develop comprehensive strategies that promote financial integrity, economic efficiency, and sustainability.

Our interdisciplinary approach highlights the synergy between accounting, finance, and economics. For instance, robust accounting standards are essential for reliable financial analysis, which in turn informs economic policies and investment strategies. Conversely, economic theories and models provide the context within which accounting and financial practices operate, ensuring they contribute to overall economic stability and growth.

Our GGS section consolidates its research activities through regular doctoral colloquia and offers its own working paper series for research papers.
