Internships for Graduates
Are you looking for an internship abroad after completing your degree at JLU Giessen?
Grant for your planned internship abroad in the framework of a “gap mobility”
Are you in the final stages of your degree course at Justus Liebig University Giessen and would you like to gain work experience abroad afterwards?
The Erasmus+ Traineeship Programme awards grants for internships abroad in the EU in the framework of “gap mobility” after completion of your degree.
Application requirements and deadlines
For your application to be successful, you must fulfil certain requirements:
- You must apply for a grant during the final year of your studies at JLU
- The internship will be completed within 12 months of completion of your degree (exmatriculation certificate has to be shown)
- The subject-related internship is carried out full-time
- You must participate in online training accompanying your internship
- A grant may be awarded for an internship abroad lasting at least two months (= 60 days) and up to a maximum of twelve months
While you are studying, you have the opportunity to use 12 Erasmus months per study cycle (B.A./B.Sc., M.A./M.Sc., PhD) or 24 months for single-cycle programmes (State Examination). You can divide these months freely between study and internship. For a gap mobility, you will use the months designated for the study cycle you are currently completing. For example, if you spent 5 months studying at an Erasmus+ partner university and did an internship abroad with an Erasmus+ Traineeship grant for 3 months, you would be entitled to a 4 months gap mobility after your Master’s degree.
Note: Grants cannot be awarded for internships at EU institutions or for EU projects.
