Students from Crisis Regions
Support for JLU students from crisis regions: Information on studying, exams, financing, counseling, residence permits, and housing.
Political crises, natural disasters, violent clashes or armed conflicts can arise unexpectedly or escalate dramatically within a short period of time. For many people, such events are associated with great concern for family and friends in the affected regions. Students and employees with personal or family ties to these countries often experience fear, uncertainty and individual stress, which can have a noticeable impact on their everyday life, their studies, their work and their stay in Germany.
Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) responds to these situations with great understanding and stands by those affected.
On this page, you will find a collection of information on study and examination matters as well as advise on counseling and support services – including questions about financing your studies, mental health and residence rights.
Depending on your individual situation and needs, please contact the relevant authorities with your specific concerns.
