Enrolment
For enrolment, you must demonstrate a higher level of German language proficiency than the level required for application. If you have already submitted one of the following certificates with your application, you do not need to hand in any further proof. The following certificates are sufficient for enrolment at JLU:
DSH-2 Level
- DSH-2 (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang, registered by HRK or passed at JLU Gießen)
- TestDaF with at least TDN 4 in all parts of the exam
- In two directly consecutive TestDaF tests at least 1 x TDN 4 in every part of the exam and at least 16 points overall in both tests
- telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule
- ZOP (Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung)
- Kleines or Großes Sprachdiplom by Goethe Institute
- Goethe certificate C2
- Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz 2. Stufe (DSD II)
- Österreichisches Sprachdiplom C2 (ÖSD C2)
- Passed Feststellungsprüfung of a Studienkolleg at a German institute of higher education (minimum grade: 4)
- A degree certificate from a German-taught degree programme at an institute of higher education in Germany
- A German-language university entrance qualification from Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein or Switzerland
- Foreign educational qualifications in accordance with the KMK decision of 02.06.1995 Deutsche Sprachprüfung II
