Research Infrastructure

'Research Infrastructure' refers to facilities, resources, and related services that scientists use to conduct research in their respective fields. According to the Council of Science and Humanities, research infrastructure is divided into four categories:

  1. Large-scale equipment and instrumentation
  2. Knowledge resources
  3. Information and communication structures
  4. Social research infrastructures

In coming years, collection, structuring, and strategy development will be on the agenda of the vice president for academic infrastructure, who is supported by is own staff division in this project.
