Goal-Oriented and Relaxed: Successful Doctorate with Resilience Training and Stress Management

Resilience describes the ability to cope with stress/crisis and the associated personal development. In this workshop, your first step is to focus on the advantages of a resilient lifestyle with the help of the 7 resilience factors. In the second step you sharpen your awareness of stress and its faces. You will be familiarized with models and procedures that can help you to best shape your current qualification phase. Aspects of prioritization and the setting of action and result goals are relevant in this context. In order to improve your mental resilience, it is important that you recognize and rethink your own patterns of thought. Therefore, the examination of your inner attitude towards your doctorate is an important aspect. You reflect your personal definition of meaning and become aware of your own competencies during the resource check.

Learning goals:

After participating in the workshop you can:

  • identify the 7 resilience factors and characteristics of stress.
  • set and prioritize action and outcome goals.
  • be more aware of your inner attitude towards your doctorate.
  • name your own strengths in the respective context.
  • fall back on starting points for dealing with stress.

Methods used in the workshop:

In addition to the short impulses of the trainer, the focus is on individual reflection. This is motivated by discussions. Group work and individual reflections offer the opportunity to identify individual energy sources and robbers and to create an individual catalogue of measures. The participants receive a script as a summary and with work orders for their own reflection.
