New student assistant at JLU Alumni Service
Hello everyone,
I am the new student assistant in Alumni Service of JLU.
My name is Kübra, and I have been living in Marburg, Germany, since 2024. I am originally from Turkey and hold a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Istanbul University.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies on Eastern Europe at JLU Gießen. Since October 2025, I have been working as a student assistant in the Alumni Service as part of the “Ukraine in Europe” project.
After completing my Bachelor's studies, I participated in different Erasmus+/youth projects across several European countries.
I have also gained diverse work experience — including working as an assistant to a shaman, which was a particularly meaningful experience for me as an anthropologist interested in different cultures and belief systems. In addition, I have worked with children in the United States.
In my personal life, I have been volunteering as an animal rescuer for seven years.
My current position as a future alumna of JLU is a valuable opportunity for me to gain new skills, expand my network, and further develop my career path in Germany.
I am very happy to be part of the Alumni Service team and excited for the journey ahead.
