Groundbreaking ceremony for the Center for Infection and Genomics of the Lung (CIGL) - tailwind for medical research at Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU)
Renewed growth at the Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) Nature and Life Sciences Campus: Aulweg is building a new medical center for lung and infection research, the Center for Infection and Genomics of the Lung (CIGL). On Wednesday 1st Nov 2017, the ground was broken for the planned two-storey building, which will be completed in two years' time. It is a research building recommended by the Wissenschaftsrat and approved by the Joint Science Conference (GWK), which is financed by the state of Hesse and the federal government and will cost around 25 million euros including equipment.
