Academic Writing in the Humanities

This workshop outlines the writing process and typical structure of papers in the humanities as well as the scientific conventions and research culture of the field.

Students will learn:

• What is understood as the academic style?
  The basic rules of academic writing in the humanities
• Lost in literature:
  Research and reading as integal parts of the writing process
• How to develop a real good research question:
  Focus on the important aspects of your topic

Lecturer:

Dr. Iris Krimmel is familiar with all aspects of academic writing. After working for many years as a political scientist, she started to work as a writing coach in 2029 and supports young scholars and scientists in every stage of the academic writing process.
