Of course, you can use one of the many sample proposals on the internet to prepare your applications. You could give it even a try with AI. This seems to work quickly, is practical and costs nothing. However, will it be of any use?

Doesn't it make more sense to create your application individually? With the arguments and content that speak only for you? Employers are looking for employees who are able to actually DO the job.

Your application must prove that this is the case. Empty phrases and general places are hardly sufficient to stand out from the competition.

In our seminar you will learn with practical examples how to analyze job descriptions, what is convincing to decision makers in companies and how to put your skills in the right light.

Get more insight about the typical "German way" to write applications. Therefore, we are going to talk about CV and cover letter and the necessity of application photos.

This workshop will be held in English!

Target group: English-speaking international students and international doctoral students from JLU & THM (für deutsche Studierende und Absolvierende gibt es ebenfalls gute Angebote an der THM und der JLU).

Lecturer: Iris Heilgendorf, Intercultural Coach & advisor at Hochschulteam (Federal Employment Agency)
