Career paths in Anglophone Studies

The workshop will provide insights into the many fields of employment open to graduates in English and American Studies, such as teaching in private and adult education, working in culture management, publishing, tourism, international organisations, journalism, marketing, public relations as well as higher education.
It will also highlight sources of information for positions in these fields as well as required additional qualifications, including practical work experience and German language skills (and how to gain them).
Moreover, It will give advice about contacting potential employers and the application process.
The workshop will start with a presentation. This will be followed by an interactive section in which participants will be asked to share their ideas and experiences as well as ask any questions they might have.
